About Uniting Mingaletta, Port Macquarie

Situated in Port Macquarie, Uniting Mingaletta is a residential aged care facility offering a welcoming living environment. Our facility is designed using the household model of care. This fosters a warm, family‑like atmosphere where we strive to ensure every resident feels at home. We have single rooms, and our facility is currently undergoing a room refurbishment to ensure our facilities are modernised.

Position Overview

As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community‑based recreational and social activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care, or if you have a passion to begin your career in aged care, currently studying or have recently become qualified
• Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold
• Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment
• Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required
• A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
