TangoeFR in Tomago, NSW, is seeking an experienced Laser & Press Operator Assistant to join our fabrication and mechanical workshop team. You will work with trades and workshop personnel to complete jobs safely, on time, and to high quality standards.

Key duties include operating Brake Press and CNC laser cutting machines, supporting fabrication trades, and maintaining documentation and safety practices. Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Brake Press and CNC laser cutting machines in an industrial environment.
• Fabrication or mechanical workshop experience.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press and CNC laser cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Support fabrication and mechanical trades with workshop activities.
• Prepare, deliver, and organise materials and equipment for workshop jobs and repairs.
• Maintain job packs, quality records, and workshop documentation accurately.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean, organised work areas and uphold workshop housekeeping standards.
• Participate in safety initiatives and toolbox meetings; raise NCRs when required.
• Contribute to waste reduction and continuous improvement activities.
• Prioritise workloads and manage schedules to meet operational requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.

This role works closely with trades and workshop personnel to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate brake press and CNC laser cutting machinery safely and efficiently
• Support fabrication and mechanical trades with workshop activities
