Job summary

Civil and Scape is seeking an experienced Landscaper in Sydney to join our team. You will coordinate site works, lead on-site crews, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards.

Your role includes hands-on site work, liaising with office for materials, and maintaining safety and reporting on progress and costs to management. NSW license and white card are required.

Qualifications

• Proven landscaping industry experience.
• Ability to deliver projects on time, in quality and within budgets.
• Experience leading large-scale commercial landscaping projects.
• Experience managing labourers and site teams to meet deadlines.
• Hands-on approach to site work and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site works and labourers to meet programme and budgets.
• Participate in hands-on site works to deliver the project.
• Liaise with office team to coordinate deliveries and purchase orders.
• Deliver projects from start to finish with minimal senior management input.
• Ensure safe execution of onsite works by the team.
• Carry out risk assessments and adhere to safety policies.
• Report progress, time, costs to the Director/GM.
• Be the authoritative contact for project matters.
• Communicate with Senior Leadership promptly when issues arise.

Job description

Civil and Scape is rapidly becoming one of Sydney’s most respected and professional Commercial Landscape and Civil contractors. Our primary focus is client satisfaction, and we pride ourselves in maintaining this healthy relationship through the quality of our work as well as delivering iconic projects. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Landscaper to immediately join our team. The successful candidate will be required to work with the site team and clients to ensure projects are delivered seamlessly and efficiently.

Duties And Responsibilities

As a Landscaper, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating site works and labourers to ensure programme and budgets are met
• Partaking in site works to deliver the project i.e. “hands-on” approach
• Liaising with office team to coordinate deliveries, purchase orders in a timely manner
• Overall responsible for the delivery of projects from start to finish with minimal assistance from the senior management team
• Ensure the effective and safe execution of onsite works by you and your team
• Carry out all risk assessments and safety requirements to adhere with all company policies
• Reporting to the Director and General Manager on progress, time, costs and so forth
• Be the authoritative contact for all matters relating to the Project
• Communicate with the Senior Leadership team openly and as soon as any issues are identified

Experience And Skills Required

• Proven Industry experience (Landscaping)
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time, in quality and within budgets
• Previous large scale commercial landscaping experience, with a proven ability to lead site staff
• A Landscape Trade is essential (Any qualification is a bonus)
• Proven ability to manage labourers and site team to meet deadlines and schedule works
• Must be a “Hands-on” individual
• NSW Driver’s License
• Workcover white card
• Speak English fluently
• Permit to work in Australia
