Qualifications

• 1–2 years of practical landscaping experience.
• Skills in hardscape and softscape installation.
• Ability to read landscape plans and drawings.
• Competent operation of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Driver licence and reliable transport.
• Willingness to undergo Police Check and White Card (Construction Induction).

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, select materials and plants; schedule landscape construction works.
• Set out and install hardscape structures (gravel, paving, walls, fences, pergolas, steps, patios).
• Construct softscape elements: seedbeds, planting, lawn establishment.
• Install, test and maintain irrigation systems; ensure water efficiency.
• Perform garden and landscape maintenance (mowing, pruning, mulching, etc.).
• Operate landscaping machinery safely and efficiently.
• Interpret landscape plans; ensure work meets specs, on time and budget.
• Maintain OH&S compliance and PPE usage.
• Provide excellent customer service on site; communicate with clients.
• Assist with job prep, material ordering and site clean-up.

Enhance Facilities Group Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC

As a Landscaper with Enhance Services you will be responsible for planning, constructing and maintaining high-quality garden landscapes. You will work across a diverse range of residential and commercial projects, contributing to landscape construction, softscape and hardscape installation, garden establishment and ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities

Preparing site plans, selecting materials and plants, and scheduling landscape construction works in accordance with design specifications and client requirements.

Setting out and installing hardscape structures including gravel and paved areas, retaining walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, steps, walkways, patios, decks and garden furniture.

Constructing softscape elements: preparing seedbeds and growing sites, planting trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers and bulbs, and establishing lawn areas by spreading topsoil, seeding or laying instant turf.

Installing, testing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, including pumps, meters and controllers, to ensure efficient water management.

Performing garden and landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, fertilising, pest and disease control, and general grounds presentation.

Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and machinery (mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, excavators, plate compactors, etc.) in a safe and competent manner.

Interpreting landscape plans and drawings, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring works are completed to specification, on time and within budget.

Maintaining a high standard of workplace health and safety, including correct use of PPE, hazard identification and adherence to company OH&S policies and procedures.

Providing excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients on site, addressing queries and ensuring a clean, tidy and respectful work environment.

Assisting with job preparation, material ordering, site clean-up and other duties as reasonably required to support the efficient operation of the landscaping team.

About you

Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience in landscaping, landscape construction or commercial garden maintenance.

Demonstrated skills in hardscape and softscape installation, plant identification, soil preparation and irrigation systems.

Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and technical drawings.

Competent and safe operation of landscaping tools, plant and equipment.

Current full Australian Driver Licence (manual preferred) and reliable transport.

Strong work ethic, physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and hold or obtain a White Card (Construction Induction) if not already held.

Competitive salary package of $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
