Job summary

ICC Sydney, Australia's leading convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct, is seeking an emerging leader to join our world-class Event Delivery team as Kitchen Stewarding Team Leader. Reporting to the Kitchen Logistics Manager, you will guide a busy kitchen stewardship crew and help maintain the high standards we deliver at each event.

Bring a positive attitude, strong hygiene knowledge and a commitment to safety; you’ll train staff, coordinate equipment and support food and beverage

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen stewarding, cleaning, hospitality, or logistics is desirable.
• Strong understanding of workplace hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Detail oriented with high cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a diverse team and take directions from leaders.
• Excellent communication and a positive professional attitude.
• Ability to work across a 7-day roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and manual handling practices.
• Valid working rights in Australia and 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team member management within the Kitchen Logistics department.
• Deliver high-standard prep for events and manage staff across sections.
• Coordinate and support kitchen and food & beverage teams.
• Work with supervisors and leaders to follow directions.
• Assist in training, leading and inspiring Stewarding team members.
• Provide clean operating equipment to meet daily kitchen needs.
• Maintain ISO 22000 food safety compliance and high food quality.
