Job summary

Max Brenner is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Hand at our Surfers Paradise store on the Gold Coast. You’ll help keep our café running smoothly with table clearances, dishwashing and food prep while maintaining high Food Safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring prior kitchen or back-of-house experience, are available for evenings, and show energy, team spirit, and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Kitchen Hand or Back of House role is essential.
• Availability for evening shifts including 5:00pm–11:30pm on Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
• Energetic, positive and guest-focused with a can-do attitude.
• Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
• Works well in a team and on individual tasks.

About The Role

In the role of Kitchen Hand at Max Brenner, a day in your life will include:

Cleaning and clearing of tables to ensure a clean café environment

Clear, wash and pack away dishes and kitchen equipment

Ensure all Food Safety requirements are followed

Assist in food preparation for front of house

Rotate stock utilising use by dates and stock rotation (FIFO)

Accepting deliveries and organising stock areas in the back room

Empty and clean all trash receptacles

About You

Previous experience in a Kitchen Hand or similar Back of House position is essential

Availability to work evening shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00pm to 11:30pm

Excellent communication skills including verbal and written

Energetic, positive and guest focused individual with a can-do attitude

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently

Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks

Able to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends
