We’re looking for an experienced freight forwarder who loves dealing with people, building relationships, and taking ownership of the customer experience. Someone who can confidently manage shipments today and help shape how we do it tomorrow.

You’ll still book freight, coordinate transport, manage documentation, and see jobs through to completion. As our systems develop, we expect more of your time to shift towards customer service, onboarding, problem-solving, and key account management.

We help individuals and businesses move cargo around the world, from vehicles and caravans to commercial air and sea freight.

The role

You’ll be a trusted point of contact for customers, managing both their shipments and their relationship with Willship.

Working closely with Sales, Operations, and our AI and automation team, you’ll help new customers get started, deliver a great experience, and develop those relationships into ongoing accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Onboarding new clients and making their first shipments with Willship straightforward and well managed.

• Preparing and comparing quotes for air, sea, and road freight.

• Coordinating bookings, transport, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.

• Keeping customers informed with clear, proactive communication.

• Spotting potential issues early and resolving problems when plans change.

• Managing invoicing, job accuracy, and shipment completion.

• Taking ownership of recurring accounts and understanding each customer’s needs.

• Identifying opportunities to support customers with additional shipments and services.

• Using our developing AI tools, checking their outputs, and contributing practical feedback to improve them.

You’ll remain accountable for the shipment and the customer experience, with increasingly capable systems supporting you along the way.

Who we’re looking for

You know freight forwarding, but the part you enjoy most is helping customers and building relationships.

You’ll bring:

• Solid experience in freight forwarding or international logistics, ideally within Australia.

• The ability to manage shipments from quoting and booking through to final delivery.

• Strong customer service skills and confidence speaking with clients, suppliers, and transport providers.

• Good judgement, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems.

• An interest in new technology and a willingness to adapt as systems improve.

• The confidence to take ownership of your work and contribute ideas.

You don’t need to be an AI expert or know how to code. We’re looking for someone with freight experience, a customer-first mindset, and curiosity about better ways of working.
