Job summary

St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown is seeking a permanent part‑time Learning Support Teacher (0.6FTE) to join the team, commencing January 2027. The role focuses on identifying and supporting students with disabilities, delivering interventions and coordinating assessments within a Catholic education framework.

Qualifications

• Experience with students with disability (K-6) and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Experience delivering professional learning for staff and parents.
• Ability to collaborate with families, CSO staff and external providers.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate referrals and assessments.
• Deliver intervention, teach, and assist curriculum differentiation as directed.
• Collaborate to design and monitor Personalised Plans and Learner Profiles.
• Work with staff to develop inclusive learning environments and transitions.
• Support documentation required for legislation and data collection (NCCD).
