Ideal candidates have a science/engineering background, strong communication skills, and are eager to grow in technical sales. Travel to customer sites and events is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree or educational background in Science, Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with new and existing customers across the research, education and scientific sectors.
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Conducting product presentations and demonstrations.
• Following up on sales enquiries and opportunities.
• Travelling to customer sites as required.
• Attending customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions.
• Working closely with technical and service teams to support customers.

Our client is a well-established international manufacturer of high-quality scientific and analytical instruments. Due to continued business growth, they are looking for a Junior Technical Sales Representative to join their Sydney team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate with a science, engineering or technical background who enjoys working with people and is interested in developing a career in sales.

Previous sales experience is not essential. Experience or knowledge of electron microscopy would be highly regarded, but candidates without this experience are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with customers across the research, education and scientific sectors, developing your technical knowledge while building strong customer relationships.
