Paxus Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Junior Desktop Engineer to provide in-person TechBar support to end users in Sydney. This fully onsite role involves troubleshooting hardware and software and assisting with day-to-day technical queries to ensure a smooth workplace technology experience.

The role requires strong customer service skills, basic desktop support knowledge, and a willingness to learn new technologies. Attendance at the central office is five days per week.

Junior Desktop Engineer – TechBar Support

Location: Sydney – Fully onsite, 5 days per week
Contract role until January 2030

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Desktop Engineer to provide in-person TechBar support to end users in Sydney. You will troubleshoot device and application issues, assist with day-to-day technical queries, and help ensure a smooth workplace technology experience.
This is a fully onsite role requiring attendance at the central office five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face TechBar and desktop support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, device and application issues.
• Assist users with technical queries and workplace technology problems.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams.
• Deliver a positive and customer-focused support experience.

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic desktop support and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Good understanding of Windows devices and common business applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF or SCCM.
• Awareness of endpoint security tools and practices.
• Previous experience in TechBar, walk-up or service desk support.

• Clear communication and problem-solving abilities.
