Job summary

Kelly+Partners Western Sydney is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Penrith team. The role focuses on preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals and entities, while partnering with senior leaders for ongoing development.

You will complete BAS/IAS/FBT/CGT/PAYG obligations, manage payroll tax reconciliations, and liaise with authorities. We back CA progression and offer a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Commenced CA, or eager to start — we'll back you the whole way.
• Familiarity with practice management platforms like MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, and QuickBooks — or a strong aptitude for picking up new systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
• Committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Completing BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG obligations
• Managing payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations
• Liaising with statutory authorities and supporting clients
• Participating in team events and monthly tax updates
• Supporting a culture of growth, accountability, and shared success
