Job summary

Kelly+Partners in Inner West Sydney is looking for a Chartered Accountant with 2+ years in a Chartered Accounting Practice to support a growing portfolio of clients. You will work closely with Partners and senior team members to deliver high-quality financial statements, tax returns, and client management services.

You will develop strong technical foundations, take on increasing responsibility, and participate in training programs and seminars.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Chartered Accounting Practice.
• CA qualification or CA studies in progress.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience with MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, or QuickBooks, or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to exceptional client service.
• Genuine desire to grow into a senior role within a supportive high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and team to ensure client work is completed timely.
• Lead the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for various entities.
• Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Provide exceptional service to clients and participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events.

Your Role

This position offers an opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a growing and progressive accounting firm. You will work closely with experienced professionals, develop strong technical foundations, and gradually take on greater responsibility managing a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

What You Bring

• 2+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice


• CA qualification or currently undertaking CA studies


• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline


• Experience with platforms such as MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, and QuickBooks, or the ability to quickly learn new systems


• Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills


• A commitment to delivering exceptional client service


• A genuine desire to grow into a senior role within a supportive and high-performing team
