Job summary

Kelly+Partners in Australia invites a Graduate Accountant to begin a rewarding career with strong training and mentoring. You will work closely with Partners and the team to handle client work, learn core accounting processes and build confidence as you progress toward professional qualifications.

You will gain hands-on experience across financial statements, tax returns, payroll tax and compliance, with structured CA study support and ongoing internal sessions in the Riverina region.

Qualifications

• Recently completed or in final stages of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar.
• Aspiring to begin Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Exposure to an accounting practice is a bonus but not essential.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Partners and team members to complete client work in a timely manner.
• Prepare Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Support BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of entities.
• Help prepare annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Accountant, this is where your career begins, and you'll be well supported every step of the way. Position Responsibilities

• Work alongside Partners and team members to help complete client work in a timely manner
• Assist in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Support the team with BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
• Help prepare annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner as you build your technical knowledge
• Assist in liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Contribute to providing an exceptional service to our clients
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events

About You

• Recently completed, or in the final stages of, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
• Keen to begin your Chartered Accountant qualification
• Any exposure to an accounting practice is a bonus, though not essential
• Some familiarity with accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks is a plus
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Naturally organised with a great eye for detail
• Warm, customer-focused and positive in your approach
