Job summary

Kelly+Partners Accountants in Australia is seeking a Graduate Accountant to begin a professional journey under guided mentorship. You will work with Partners and the team to deliver accurate client work and develop essential accounting skills across financial statements and tax returns.

You will be supported to pursue CA qualifications while benefiting from structured training, monthly tax sessions and local office opportunities in Leeton or Narrandera.

Qualifications

• Recently completed or final stages of a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting.
• Keen to begin Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Experience in an accounting practice is a bonus but not essential.
• Familiar with common accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Partners and team members to complete client work promptly.
• Assist in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Support BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for various entities.
• Help prepare annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Be coached by an experienced Partner to build technical knowledge.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Contribute to exceptional client service.
• Attend training seminars, team meetings and social events.

The Opportunity

Position Responsibilities

• Work alongside Partners and team members to help complete client work in a timely manner
• Assist in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Support the team with BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
• Help prepare annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner as you build your technical knowledge
• Assist in liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Contribute to providing an exceptional service to our clients
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events

About You

• Recently completed, or in the final stages of, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
• Keen to begin your Chartered Accountant qualification
• Any exposure to an accounting practice is a bonus, though not essential
• Some familiarity with accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks is a plus
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Naturally organised with a great eye for detail
• Warm, customer-focused and positive in your approach
• Genuinely care about doing great work for your clients
• Proactive, self-motivated and always happy to pitch in
