Job summary

Kelly+Partners Western Sydney is seeking a junior accountant to support the team with financial statements, BAS, payroll and client service. You'll work closely with senior managers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to timely, accurate reporting.

With at least 1 year in a Chartered Accounting practice, you will leverage MYOB AE, Xero, QuickBooks and other platforms; develop professionally under mentorship, and progress your CA journey while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• Completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Commenced CA, or eager to get started — support throughout.
• Familiarity with practice management platforms like MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
• Committed to providing exceptional service to our clients

Responsibilities

• Preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Completing BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG obligations.
• Managing payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations.
• Liaising with statutory authorities and supporting clients.
• Participating in team events and monthly tax updates.
• Supporting a culture of growth, accountability, and shared success
