Job summary

Kelly+Partners in the Riverina region invites you to start your accounting career as a Graduate Accountant, supported by Partners and the wider team.

You'll gain hands-on experience preparing financial statements, tax returns, and client work while balancing CA study and ongoing tax training.

With two offices in Leeton or Narrandera, you'll enjoy a local, supportive environment that helps you grow and serve community clients.

Qualifications

• Recently completed or in final stages of a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or similar.
• Interested in pursuing Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Experience with accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong communication and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with Partners to complete client work promptly.
• Prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns for individuals and entities.
• Support BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG for various clients.
• Assist in payroll tax reconciliations and workers compensation.
• Learn under a Partner and build technical knowledge.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Provide exceptional service to clients.
• Attend training seminars, team meetings, and events.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Accountant, this is where your career begins, and you'll be well supported every step of the way. Guided by the Partner and the wider team around you, you'll have the training, mentoring and hands‑on experience to build strong foundations and grow into a confident accountant at a pace that works for you.

Position Responsibilities

• Work alongside Partners and team members to help complete client work in a timely manner
• Assist in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Support the team with BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
• Help prepare annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner as you build your technical knowledge
• Assist in liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Contribute to providing an exceptional service to our clients
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events

About You

• Recently completed, or in the final stages of, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
• Keen to begin your Chartered Accountant qualification
• Any exposure to an accounting practice is a bonus, though not essential
• Some familiarity with accounting software such as APS, MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks is a plus
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Naturally organised with a great eye for detail
• Warm, customer-focused and positive in your approach
• Genuinely care about doing great work for your clients
• Proactive, self-motivated and always happy to pitch in
