Austin Health is seeking a casual Italian Interpreter to join the Language Services Department on the Melbourne campuses. You will interpret for patients and staff, travel to appointments when required, and contribute to timely, accurate service delivery using the IMS system.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical teams, accuracy in statistics, and efficient appointment allocations. A healthcare setting background and medical terminology knowledge are essential.

Formación

• Certified provisional interpreters with extensive medical experience may be considered
• Extensive vocabulary in certified languages and knowledge of medical and health terminology
• Experience as a Certified Interpreter in a medical setting.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret for patients and Austin Health staff. Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken on the IMS in a timely manner - training will be provided
• Work collaboratively with Austin Health staff to ensure a timely and effective service
• Assist administration staff with allocations of appointments (time permitting).
