Austin Health is seeking a casual Italian Interpreter to join the Language Services Department on the Melbourne campuses. You will interpret for patients and staff, travel to appointments when required, and contribute to timely, accurate service delivery using the IMS system.
The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical teams, accuracy in statistics, and efficient appointment allocations. A healthcare setting background and medical terminology knowledge are essential.
The Language Services Office is equipped with 16 telephone lines across the Repat and Austin Campuses and is open Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm. For patients with limited English proficiency or who use sign language, interpreters play an essential role in ensuring access to services and meaningful participation in the care they receive at Austin Health.
