Job summary

Carbiz is seeking an IT Support Officer to join our tech team in Mascot. You’ll provide day-to-day technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and help with user accounts and IT equipment.

Work closely with the IT team across the business, developing your skills across Microsoft 365, hardware, software, and business applications in a fast-paced, supportive environment at our Sydney HQ.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service desk is desirable.
• A qualification in Information Technology or related field is advantageous.
• Experience with Windows environments and Microsoft 365 is beneficial.
• Understanding of hardware, software, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication with non-technical users.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Proactive in resolving issues and supporting others.
• Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, apps, and IT issues.
• Troubleshoot issues with computers, printers, mobile devices, and connectivity.
• Assist with setting up and configuring IT equipment for new and existing staff.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, including user accounts and access.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including user access and setup.
• Monitor and respond to IT support requests; track and resolve tickets.
• Maintain records of IT assets, equipment allocation, and documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to IT process improvements.
