Job summary

Active Tree Services is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist with everyday IT issues and device setup, supporting office staff and field crews across Australia from Edwardstown. You will gain exposure to Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and our in-house applications while handling requests to resolution.

The role involves occasional rural travel, involvement in IT projects, and a monthly weekend roster with remote standby from home between 7am and 3pm on both days.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT experience or training/qualification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to Active Directory and Entra ID is helpful.
• Desirable understanding of Intune to support mobile devices.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.
• Logical, organized mindset with determination to resolve issues.

Ready to turn your IT knowledge into real-world experience? Join our national IT team as an IT Support Technician and build your skills in a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Based in Edwardstown, you will help keep our office employees and field crews connected across Australia. Supported by an experienced team, you will assist with everyday technical issues, set up and troubleshoot devices, and learn how to manage requests through to resolution.

You will gain exposure to Microsoft 365, business systems, mobile technology, equipment and inventory, directory administration, system testing, technology roll-outs and our in-house application used by field crews.

You will also contribute to IT projects and process improvements, with occasional rural travel for onsite support. Once trained, you will join a monthly weekend roster, providing remote standby support from home between 7am and 3pm on both days.

• Earn additional income through a $200 daily allowance for rostered weekend standby support, plus hourly payments when support is required.

What we need from you

• Some hands-on IT experience, training or a relevant qualification gained through work, study or an internship.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365, with confidence setting up and troubleshooting computers, mobile devices, software and everyday user issues.
• Exposure to Active Directory and Entra ID, networking or a service desk system is helpful, but not essential.
• Desirable basic understanding of Intune or Samsung Knox MDM (Mobile Device Management) to support iOS and Android devices.
• Clear communication skills, a friendly and patient approach, and a genuine willingness to learn.
• A logical, organised mindset and the motivation to follow issues through to resolution.
