Job summary

Nyrstar Hobart is seeking an IT Support/Helpdesk specialist to join the Business Systems Team. You will provide high level customer service and guidance for deploying and maintaining computer infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving issues across the plant.

Your day-to-day includes support, education and guidance in IT deployment, maintenance and problem resolution, including end user assistance, AD/Exchange management and ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT support or helpdesk experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with users at all levels.
• Service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing high-quality and responsive IT support.
• Willingness to continuously learn and keep abreast of latest IT trends.
• Relevant IT certifications or qualifications would be highly regarded.
• Manual Drivers licence.
• An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support and escalation handling.
• Provide deployment and maintenance support for computer infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems across the plant.
• Add, maintain, and deactivate users in Active Directory and Exchange.
• Provide remote and onsite IT support including hardware, software and network access.
• Enforce IT policies, procedures and security standards.
• Document and report IT configurations and troubleshooting steps.
