Job summary

Nyrstar Hobart Pty Ltd is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Business Systems Team in Hobart. Reporting to the Regional IT Team Leader, you will provide high level customer service and support to employees, deploying and maintaining computer infrastructure and resolving technical issues.

You will support Windows 11, Office 365, Active Directory and Exchange, using ServiceNow ITSM to log incidents and requests, and you will assist with remote and onsite support across the plant while

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with users at all levels.
• Service-oriented mindset with focus on providing high-quality and responsive IT support.
• Willingness to continuously learn and keep abreast of latest IT trends and technologies.
• Manual Drivers licence
• An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of end user support and escalation processes.
• A good general knowledge of technical infrastructure including Windows 11 and office 365
• Proficient in utilizing ServiceNow or equivalent platform for IT service management (ITSM), including incident and request management processes.
• Providing technical support for Windows OS, MS Office and basic support for other core applications, logging in and printing.
• Adding, maintaining and de-activating users in Active Directory, Exchange and core application systems
• Providing Remote and Onsite technical support to all end users including support and maintenance of software, desktop, server, hardware and access to the network
• IT Policy Implementation – Enforcing IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Documentation & Reporting – Keeping records of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
