Job summary

The Australian Taxation Office is seeking an APS 5 IT Services Officer to contribute to the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of IT services across the organisation.

Working under limited direction across a range of IT Service Management activities, you’ll analyse information, manage competing priorities, investigate service delivery issues and contribute to solutions that support business outcomes.

We are seeking IT Services Officers to join our Enterprise Solutions and Technology area.

As an APS 5 IT Services Officer, you will contribute to the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of IT services across the organisation. Working under limited direction across a range of IT Service Management activities, you’ll analyse information, manage competing priorities, investigate service delivery issues and contribute to solutions that support business outcomes.

You will engage with business stakeholders, technical specialists, service providers and project teams to support effective and reliable IT services. Using sound judgement and a customer-focused approach, you’ll identify and assess risks, assist in resolving moderately complex issues and escalate matters where appropriate.

You will also contribute to operational procedures, knowledge management, performance reporting and service improvement activities. You may provide advice and recommendations to support informed decision-making, effective governance and improved service delivery outcomes.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Newcastle, Sydney CBD or Townsville.
