Project Coordinator – TransformationCentacare | Brisbane | Hybrid Working | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, with strong possibility of extension
Keep projects moving. Connect the details. Help transformation land well.Centacare is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Transformation Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of extension.
We’re looking for someone who is warm, approachable and a genuinely strong communicator — someone who enjoys working with people, asks thoughtful questions and is eager to learn.
This role sits in an interesting space between being guided by experienced Project Managers and taking real ownership of coordinating complex processes. You’ll have support and direction around you, but you’ll also be trusted to keep work moving, bring structure to multiple workstreams, follow up actions and make sure the detail doesn’t get lost.
You’ll be curious, organised and comfortable learning as you go. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one, but you will need the confidence to ask questions, build relationships and gradually take greater ownership as your understanding grows.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the person who connects people, information and actions — bringing warmth to relationships and discipline to the way projects are coordinated.
You’ll need solid project coordination experience, strong working knowledge of at least one project management platform, and strong experience managing project documentation, document control and project repositories.
You’ll be someone who understands the importance of having the right document, in the right place, with the right version — and making sure the wider project team can actually find it when they need it.
About CentacareCentacare is a purpose-led, not-for-profit organisation supporting individuals, children and families across Queensland.
Our people work across a diverse range of community services, providing care, support and practical assistance to people who need it.
As Centacare continues to evolve, we’re investing in new systems, technology and better ways of working.
Our Transformation Team plays an important role in making sure those projects are planned properly, coordinated effectively and implemented in a way that works for the people who use them.
The opportunityAs Project Coordinator, you’ll provide practical support across a portfolio of transformation projects.
You’ll work alongside Project Managers and stakeholders, helping keep plans current, actions moving, documentation controlled and stakeholders connected.
One day you might be coordinating a project meeting, updating actions and timelines and following up on dependencies.
The next, you could be maintaining the project repository, checking that key documents are current and correctly stored, preparing project reporting, supporting a system rollout or coordinating communication with impacted teams.
The role requires someone who enjoys structure but can also adapt when priorities shift.
You’ll need to be comfortable asking questions, following people up and making sure important actions — and important documents — don’t quietly disappear after a meeting.
What you’ll be doingYour responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Project Managers across transformation, technology and process‑improvement initiatives
- Maintaining project plans, schedules, actions, milestones, project reports and key deliverables
- Coordinating meetings, workshops and project activities
- Preparing agendas, minutes, action registers and project documentation
- Following up actions and helping keep project owners accountable to agreed timeframes
- Managing project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintaining structured project repositories and ensuring information is current, complete and easy to locate
- Applying good document‑control practices, including version control, naming conventions, approvals and appropriate access
- Maintaining registers, templates, reports, decisions and other key project artefacts
- Ensuring project records are stored consistently and in accordance with agreed governance requirements
- Tracking risks, issues, dependencies and decisions
- Supporting project reporting and status updates
- Coordinating stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organisation
- Using project management software to track work, progress and priorities
- Supporting system implementations, new platforms and organisational change initiatives
- Helping develop and coordinate internal project communications
- Creating and maintaining project‑related SharePoint content
- Preparing presentations, updates, FAQs and briefing material where required
- Supporting multiple workstreams and adapting as project priorities change
