Job summary

Unisys is seeking an on-site Technical Field Engineer to support a federal government client in Canberra. You will install, diagnose, maintain, and service desktops, printers, and peripherals, while delivering reliable fault investigation and triage to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires proven deskside experience, Windows environment support, hardware diagnostic skills, and strong customer engagement. NV1/NV2 security clearance is mandatory for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in deskside support with fault investigation and timely resolution.
• Experience supporting a corporate Windows environment and hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong on-site technical and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, maintain and service desktop PCs, printers and peripherals.
• Provide on-site technical support to federal government client.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; perform tests and tagging where applicable.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction during all transactions.

Job description

This Technical Field Engineer ensures that our federal government client’s systems stay secure, reliable, and mission-ready through expert on‑site technical support and strong client engagement.

The Field Engineer performs activities associated with installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop/laptop computers, printers, and peripherals.

Proven experience in a Deskside support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolution.

Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshooting

Experience with supporting a corporate Windows environment

Software and Hardware diagnostic skills and building/upgrading PC's

Test and Tag experience highly regarded

Minimum of 6 months experience in supporting Deskside support environment

Ensure customer satisfaction throughout all transactions.

Key Qualifications

NV1 or NV2 security clearancemust have for this role.
