Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Technical Field Engineer to deliver on-site technical support for a federal government client in Canberra, ensuring secure, reliable, and mission‑ready systems. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain desktops, servers, and peripherals within a Windows environment, while engaging with stakeholders to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Requirements include 6+ months of deskside experience, fault triage ability, and a valid driver’s license; NV1/NV2 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ deskside support experience required.
• Experience fault investigation, triage and resolution.
• Experience with desktop/server hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with a corporate Windows environment.
• NV1 or NV2 security clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Test and tag experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, maintain, and service computer‑related products (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, network, and software issues.
• Perform software and hardware diagnostics and build/upgrades PCs.
• Support a corporate Windows environment, including printing installation, deployment, configuration, and disposal.
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout all interactions.
• Perform test and tag activities (highly regarded).
