Job summary

Unisys Canberra is seeking a Technical Field Engineer to provide on-site support for a federal government client, keeping systems secure and mission-ready. You will install, diagnose, maintain, and service desktops, printers, and peripherals while engaging clients to ensure high satisfaction.

The role requires experience in Deskside support, fault triage, and a strong Windows environment, with NV1/NV2 security clearance being essential. Canberra-based with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Deskside support environment.
• Proven fault investigation, triaging and resolution.
• Experience with desktop, server, hardware, network, and software installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting a corporate Windows environment.
• Software and hardware diagnostic skills and building/upgrading PCs.
• Test and Tag experience is highly regarded.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a deskside support environment.
• NV1 or NV2 security clearance must have for this role.

• This Technical Field Engineer ensures that our federal government client’s systems stay secure, reliable, and mission-ready through expert on-­site technical support and strong client engagement.
• The Field Engineer performs activities associated with installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop/laptop computers, printers, and peripherals.
• Proven experience in a Deskside support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolution.
• Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshooting
• Experience with supporting a corporate Windows environment
• Software and Hardware diagnostic skills and building/upgrading PC's
• Test and Tag experience highly regarded
• Minimum of 6 months experience in supporting Deskside support environment
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout all transactions

Key Qualifications

• NV1 or NV2 security clearance must have for this role
