Job summary

Office of the Public Guardian QLD in Brisbane is seeking an Investigations Intake and Referral Officer to assess requests for investigations and support the Investigations team in timely case progress. The role focuses on clear information provision to attorneys and guardians and on directing referrals efficiently.

You will travel across the state, work hours outside the norm when required, and hold relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations.

Qualifications

• You must possess a C class driver's licence.
• The role may require travel throughout the State, including overnight stays.
• A Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations, or related tertiary qualifications, are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess requests for investigations and determine appropriate action for referrals.
• Assist the Investigations team in the timely conduct of investigations.
• Provide information and advice to attorneys, guardians, administrators and informal decision makers.
• Support the public to refer matters of concern promptly and appropriately.
• Deliver intake and assessment processes to progress referrals for investigation in a timely manner.
• Maintain referral pathways and stakeholder relationships with ethical, respectful, and culturally sensitive conduct.
