Office of the Public Guardian in Brisbane seeks an experienced investigator to lead complex inquiries protecting vulnerable adults and children. The role covers assessments of decision‑making capacity, reporting, and actions to safeguard individuals.

You will work with investigators, attorneys and stakeholders, travelling across the state and occasionally outside ordinary hours to achieve timely outcomes.

Formación

• Strong investigative skills and ability to analyse complex cases.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake complex investigations relating to abuse, neglect, exploitation and decision‑making adequacy.
• Provide advice to investigators and decision makers on roles in impaired decision‑making.
• Prepare and review investigation reports and recommendations for protective actions.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to reach informal and formal outcomes.
• Appear before tribunals or courts as required.
• Provide operational support to drive timely and customer‑centred investigation services.
• Coach and mentor Investigations Officers to improve performance.
• Build positive stakeholder relationships in a multi‑disciplinary team.
