Job summary

Tradelink Villawood is seeking a motivated Inventory Controller to own purchasing, stock accuracy, and reporting across the branch. This newly created role supports growth by strengthening inventory processes and ensuring stock is managed efficiently in a busy environment.

Ideal candidates have strong inventory, purchasing, or stock management experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory, purchasing, or stock management.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and reporting skills.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence with systems/data entry.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to the team.

Responsibilities

• Own daily purchasing for trade and project orders - keeping stock moving and customers happy.
• Coordinate project procurement and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory with regular cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
• Balance stock levels to avoid shortages and reduce excess costs.
• Produce clear reports and track inventory performance.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Keep documentation sharp and processes compliant.
