The Public Transport Authority is looking for a proactive and experienced Inventory and Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in keeping our maintenance operations supplied, connected and running efficiently.

Reporting to the Superintendent Inventory and Fleet Operations, you will lead the coordination of inventory, warehousing and logistics activities that support critical Network & Infrastructure maintenance programs. Working within the PTA’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, you will ensure materials and inventory are available when and where they are needed, helping to maintain the safety, reliability and performance of WA’s public transport network.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee inventory control, stock optimisation, warehousing operations, cataloguing management and logistics coordination across multiple locations. You will support and mentor a small team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure compliance with safety, operational and legislative requirements.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers and transport providers, you will contribute to effective operational planning, analyse inventory performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver efficient, cost-effective supply chain outcomes for the branch.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced supply chain environment, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within one of Western Australia's largest and most essential organisations.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management, warehousing and logistics within a supply chain environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, mentor and support staff.
  • Sound analytical skills with experience interpreting inventory data and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Hold a current WA ‘HR-B’, 'C' or ‘C-A' Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
  • Hold High Risk Work Licences for Forklift (LF)
