Job summary

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a friendly, motivated team member to support the Schoolbuses Branch. You will assist students, families, schools, and contractors by handling enquiries, processing transport assistance applications and conveyance claims, and resolving questions with empathy and professionalism.

Job description

We are seeking a friendly and motivated team member to support the Schoolbuses Branch of the Public Transport Authority (PTA). In this rewarding role, you will assist students, families, schools, and contractors by responding to enquiries, processing student transport assistance applications and conveyance allowance claims, and helping to resolve questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism. This position is ideal for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys a mix of customer service and administrative work, and is comfortable using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office. You will support the administration of school bus contracts, prepare correspondence and documentation, assist with research tasks, and work closely with a supportive team. About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of quality customer service using verbal and digital communication channels.
  • A strong customer service focus with demonstrated experience in the handling of sensitive customer service issues.
  • Ability to learn and apply policy and procedures.
  • Competency in the use and application of personal computers and relevant software and the ability to learn system-based processes.
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
