JBS Australia’s English Academy in Riverview is hiring a Student Support Officer to welcome international students and help them engage, stay well, and succeed while complying with international education requirements.

You’ll coordinate orientation, support wellbeing, manage records in aXcelerate and SharePoint, and assist with CRICOS/ESOS compliance, course progress and attendance, within a diverse, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in student services, international education, ELICOS, RTO, community services or a similar customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to engage confidently with students primarily in English.
• Excellent administration and record management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using systems such as aXcelerate, PRISMS, SharePoint and Microsoft Office (desirable).
• An understanding of student welfare, privacy and appropriate escalation practices.
• Knowledge of CRICOS, ESOS and National Code requirements, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service.

Responsabilités

• Providing front-line support and guidance to international students
• Assisting students to access internal and external support services while building their confidence and independence
• Coordinating orientation and onboarding activities for new students
• Organising student events, excursions, graduations and wellbeing initiatives
• Monitoring attendance and course progress records and supporting intervention processes for at-risk students
• Maintaining accurate student records within aXcelerate, SharePoint and other approved systems
• Preparing student correspondence and documentation
• Supporting CRICOS, ESOS and National Code compliance requirements
• Assisting with student lifecycle administration, including leave requests, medical certificates, transfers and course completions
• Contributing to a safe, welcoming and culturally inclusive learning environment
