Job summary

Big River Group is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for trade and retail customers, helping them find the right solutions while delivering outstanding service.

You’ll work with customers, suppliers, warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time, building long-term relationships. Whether you have experience in building supplies or are developing a sales career in construction, this role

Qualifications

• Experience in building supplies, timber, hardware, construction products or a related industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence building relationships with trade customers and contractors.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Previous sales or customer service experience within the building or construction industry will be highly regarded but is not essential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional face-to-face, telephone and email customer service.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare competitive quotations and follow up opportunities.
• Provide product information and technical guidance across a broad range of building materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers and builders.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate customer, quote and sales records.
• Contribute to branch sales growth and customer retention initiatives.
