Job summary

Hardware & General is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead a newly created Inside Sales team. You will work with builders, tradies, developers and our Field Sales team to grow relationships, improve efficiency and identify new business opportunities.

You’ll manage a team of Internal Account Managers, drive account growth, and help shape the future direction of the Inside Sales function. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Brookvale head office.

Qualifications

• Background in sales, account management, estimating, construction, property development, engineering, contract administration or business.
• Commercial thinking, strong planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Internal Account Managers.
• Grow existing customer accounts, retain customers and develop new business.
• Oversee cross-branch quoting, order processing and quote follow-up for the Field Sales team.
• Manage incoming phone, web enquiries and ensure all customer enquiries are handled promptly and professionally, with a focus on sales opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, KPIs and quote conversion to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work with Field Sales, branches and internal teams to improve processes, service and business results.
• Help shape the structure, processes and future direction of the Inside Sales team.
