Job summary

Kelly+Partners Accountants in Leeton/Narrandera is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our local team. You will support Partners and senior staff, prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs, and help with BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a range of clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or equivalent.
• Working towards CA qualification or intent to start.
• Experience in an accounting practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners to ensure client work is completed timely.
• Lead preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for various entities.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for companies and trusts.
• Deliver annual workers' compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Be coached by Partners to manage a diverse client portfolio.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Support and train junior team members.

The Opportunity

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be well supported from day one. Guided by the Partner and the senior team around you, you will have the training, mentoring and guidance to build strong foundations and grow your career at a pace that works for you.

Position Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
• Take the lead in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
• Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with the aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
• Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
• Offer support and training to junior team members

About You

• At least 1 year of experience in an Accounting Practice
• Working towards your Chartered Accountant qualification, or keen to get started
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
• Comfortable with accounting software, such as APS, MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Naturally organised with a great eye for detail
• Warm, customer-focused and positive in your approach
• Genuinely care about doing great work for your clients
• Proactive, self-motivated and always happy to pitch in
