Job summary

Kelly+Partners KDA Partnership in Bowral is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to strengthen technical capability, broaden client exposure and take on greater responsibility within a supportive team.

You will work closely with Partners to develop advisory skills, prepare financial statements, and manage taxation compliance for a diverse client base while building toward more senior roles.

Qualifications

• Two+ years' experience in a chartered accounting practice (CA pathway preferred).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related discipline, CA considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and team to deliver client work accurately and on time.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for various entities.
• Prepare annual workers' compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Work with an experienced Partner to gradually manage a diverse client portfolio.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and events.

The Opportunity

Kelly+Partners KDA Partnership is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join the team in Bowral. This position is suited to an accountant who is looking to strengthen their technical capability, gain broader client exposure and take on greater responsibility within a supportive environment. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will continue developing your skills across compliance and client management while building towards the next stage of your career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborating with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed accurately and within required timeframes
• Taking the lead in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Preparing BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG obligations for a variety of entities
• Preparing annual workers' compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
• Working directly with an experienced Partner, with the aim of gradually managing a diverse client portfolio
• Liaising with statutory authorities on behalf of clientsBuilding strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
• Participating in training seminars, team meetings and social events

What You'll Bring

• At least two years' experience within a chartered accounting practice
• CA qualification or currently undertaking CA studies
• A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related discipline
• Experience using platforms such as MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero or QuickBooks, or the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to delivering exceptional client service
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to learning, new technology and continuous improvement
• A genuine desire to develop professionally and progress into a more senior accounting role
