Job summary

Adaptive Resourcing in Sydney seeks an experienced integration architect to lead the rebuild of an ERP integration layer. You will design and implement APIs, event-driven patterns, and shared services that bridge legacy databases and a modern web app.

Working with CTO and engineering leads, you will shape architecture decisions, code with .NET, harness Azure, and enable seamless third-party integrations. Flexible remote/hybrid options in Sydney CBD are available, with a strong, growth-focused

Qualifications

• Strong background in integration, APIs and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on backend engineering with .NET or similar.
• Cloud experience, Azure preferred.
• Ability to operate at architecture and coding levels.
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous, evolving environments.

• Collaborate with the CTO and Engineering Manager on architectural decisions.
• Deliver code aligned with the technology strategy.
• Work with other dev leads, DevOps and Product.
• Define how integration layer is architected, built and evolved.
• Own the critical integration layer supporting legacy and modern systems.

• Design and build the integration layer bridging legacy and new systems
• Define integration patterns for migration, synchronisation, and coexistence
• Build shared services (APIs, messaging, document generation, external integrations)
• Work directly with legacy databases (SQL Server, data sync, ETL patterns)

• Work closely with other dev leads, Dev Ops and Product

About you

• Strong background in integration, APIs, and event-driven systems
• Hands-on backend engineering experience (.NET / similar)
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Ability to operate at both architecture and coding level
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous, evolving environments
