Job summary

Caldic in Melbourne is seeking an Inside Sales & Sales Support Representative to back the ANZ Food and Nutrition team. You’ll manage small customer portfolios, handle inquiries, prepare quotes, and process orders while coordinating with logistics and inventory to ensure timely deliveries.

The role blends internal sales with sales support, requiring proactive customer engagement, accurate data management, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and the shipping team to drive portfolio

Qualifications

• Experience in Sales Support, Customer Service and Account Management, preferably with a chemical distribution company
• Demonstrated strong analytical capability and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Practical strong problem-solving abilities with good organisational skills
• Positive, proactive mindset with a supportive and accountable work ethic and customer-centric attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and strengthen relationships across all levels of the organisation, both internally and externally
• Preferred experience with JDE, Dynamics, or CRM systems
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of small customers through proactive internal sales activities.
• Handle customer enquiries, quotations, pricing requests, and order processing.
• Build strong relationships with customers to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Support new product promotions and campaigns with existing and potential customers.
• Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and sales data in relevant systems.
• Analyse sales trends and customer purchasing patterns to support sales growth.
• Work closely with logistics and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
• Support the Portfolio Manager with inventory planning and stock replenishment.
• Lead communications with the supply planners on order requisitions and coordinate with Shipping.
• Provide updated costings and coordinate freight costs with suppliers/forwarders.
• Minimise aged stock through inventory analysis and collaboration with the sales team.
• Maintain product information sheets, safety data, brochures, and regulatory documents on SharePoint.
• Review open order reports and communicate order status or delays to customers.
• Manage incident reports, including customer complaints and NCRs.
• Assist with forecasting and monthly reports for Principals.
• Achieve KPIs based on responsibilities and deliverables.
• Perform other activities as required.
