Job summary

Australian Retail Brand in Melbourne is expanding with a newly created Infrastructure Manager role. You will lead a team of 16 engineers across multiple sites, setting strategy and driving modernization of the IT infrastructure stack.

The environment includes over 3,000 servers and multiple distribution centers. The role blends people and technical leadership, overseeing budgets, workload management and alignment with business objectives, with a focus on storage, backup and recovery, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in infrastructure management.
• Minimum 10 years in infrastructure engineering.
• Proven people management experience.
• Experience owning department budgets and forecasts.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, SANs).
• Strong storage, backup and recovery knowledge.
• Experience managing data centers.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure Services.
• Own planning, designing and implementing Infrastructure, backup and recovery technologies.
• Perform workload management, project planning, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Align technical activities with organizational strategic objectives.
• Define and enhance business processes.
• Develop robust processes for ongoing optimization of Infrastructure.
• Manage a team of technical engineers to meet operational and strategic needs.
• Manage and maintain Infrastructure budgets.
