Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a household brand in Australian Retail to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Manager in Melbourne. The role leads a team of 16 engineers, drives strategy, modernization and operations across the traditional IT infrastructure stack.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in infrastructure management, 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, and proven budget ownership. VMware, Hyper-V, SANs, storage, backup and recovery expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Infrastructure Management.
• 10+ years experience in Infrastructure Engineering.
• Budget ownership and forecasting experience.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience managing data centers (DCs).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure Services
• Take ownership of planning, designing & implementing Infrastructure, back up & recovery technologies
• Perform workload management, project planning, forecasting and resource allocation
• Align technical activities with organizational strategic objectives
• Define and enhance business processes
• Develop robust processes for ongoing optimization of Infrastructure
• Manage a team of technical engineers to ensure operational and strategic needs are met
• Manage and maintain Infrastructure budgets

A house-hold brand in Australian Retail is looking to add an experienced Infrastructure Manager to their team. This enterprise organization has been going through successful growth and this is a newly created position within the company.

A combination of people management & technical leadership, the Infrastructure Manager will lead of team of 16 people, driving strategy, modernization & operations specifically in the traditional IT infrastructure stack. The IT Infrastructure environment comprises of over 3,000 servers across numerous sites including 3 DCs.

What you will be doing:

• Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure Services
• Take ownership of planning, designing & implementing Infrastructure, back up & recovery technologies
