Job summary

Indie Education is seeking an ICT Officer - Infrastructure Specialist to support, maintain and modernise its ICT infrastructure across multiple sites, with Brisbane or Wodonga as options. The role focuses on networking, connectivity, security and reliability for staff and students.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, manage incidents and projects, maintain documentation, and help ensure systems are secure, compliant and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise ICT infrastructure, with networking and multi-site environments.
• Ability to coordinate vendors, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and organisational skills.
• Customer service and communication skills to engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and optimise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Troubleshoot and support network outages, connectivity issues and performance concerns.
• Manage and support ongoing network standardisation and modernisation efforts.
• Support and maintain firewall, VPN, content filtering and network security configurations.
• Assist with network design, capacity planning and identify improvements to support organisational growth.
• Monitor and maintain ICT infrastructure to ensure availability, performance and reliability.
• Manage assigned service requests, incidents and escalations related to network and infrastructure.
• Build positive working relationships with employees, stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
• Plan and deliver network upgrades, equipment refresh and improvement initiatives.
• Manage ISP services, service upgrades and new site connectivity requirements.
• Produce and maintain documentation, network diagrams, proposals and implementation plans.
• Maintain and improve network and infrastructure security controls in line with best practices.
• Support infrastructure patching, vulnerability remediation and improvement initiatives.
• Assist with equipment audits and compliance activities where required.
• Support backup, recovery and business continuity efforts.
