Job summary

dnata catering & retail is seeking a Chef in Adelaide to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preparing bulk hot and cold dishes to specification and ensuring consistent quality.

With 2+ years’ chef experience and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher), you will uphold HACCP and food safety standards, coordinate staff to meet production schedules, and perform basic administrative tasks using a computer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ chef experience.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher).
• Able to pass pre-employment checks (police check & medical).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking a variety of bulk hot and cold dishes, following menu specifications and ensuring consistent quality.
• Using advanced knife skills and food preparation equipment efficiently, maintaining portion control and minimising waste.
• Conducting quality checks and upholding all food safety, safety, and hygiene policies, including HACCP.
• Coordinating catering staff and other team members to deliver to production schedules.
• Demonstrating basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
