Job summary

The University of Sydney Gadigal Centre is seeking a Student Success Officer to provide learning and case-management support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. You will liaise with students, mentors and academics to enhance engagement and wellbeing.

Based at the Gadigal Centre, you will work under the Student Success Manager, coordinate with campus services, and contribute to events and outreach while upholding the university’s commitment to Indigenous staffing and inclusive

Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and cultures.
Demonstrated first-hand lived experience and engagement in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities, and/or working with students.
Computer skills, including MS Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

Provide learning guidance, information, advice, and case-management support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Facilitate student interaction with peers, mentors and academics.
Support student engagement events and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Liaise with others (Accommodation, Financial Assistance, Disability Services etc.) to ensure services are utilised by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
