Job summary

University of New South Wales – Liverpool NSW is seeking a Student Success & Participation Officer to strengthen engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other underrepresented groups to support student participation, retention and success in higher education.

You will work with Hub staff, local councils and community organisations to build partnerships that bridge access gaps, connect students with opportunities and provide culturally responsive support and

Qualifications

Relevant degree in education, communications, community services, youth work, marketing or related discipline.
Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, perspectives, protocols and lived experience.
Knowledge of higher education pathways and equity student experiences.
Experience delivering student support, outreach or widening participation initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

Drive initiatives to improve access and success for Indigenous and other underrepresented students.
Deliver culturally responsive support and programs for retention.
Build partnerships with schools, education providers and community organisations.
Promote the Liverpool Study Hub through outreach and communications.
Create a sense of belonging with a culturally safe student experience.
