Job summary

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane (ATSICHS Brisbane) seeks a dedicated role within the Family Wellbeing Services program to support Indigenous families facing vulnerability. The role emphasizes culturally safe case management and collaborative care with multiple providers to strengthen family capacity.

The position involves direct client work including safety assessments, coaching on parenting, and documentation that reflects the client's voice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with 2 years’ relevant experience in social services.
• Certificate IV in a relevant Community Services field with at least 3 years of case management experience within Family Support, Child Protection, Youth Support, Housing or a related field and a commitment to complete a Diploma.
• National Police Certificate is required and a Blue Card Working with Children is desirable or eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with clients through micro-counselling and supportive engagement to promote client motivation and wellbeing.
• Deliver safety assessments and responses for domestic violence, self-harm/mental health, and child safety concerns.
• Document thoroughly with client voice in case notes and complete routine outcome measures (SRS/ORS) as part of the care model.
• Coordinate and provide wrap-around services through ATSICHS programs, collaborating with other service providers.
• Engage with Child Safety and other stakeholders to develop plans that support family reunification and positive child outcomes.
• Maintain professional, timely, and compliant case management throughout each client interaction.

Education
