Job summary

ATSICHS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane seeks a dedicated professional in Logan Central, QLD, to provide culturally safe family support and case management within the Family Wellbeing Services program. You will work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, delivering holistic support, safety planning, and collaborative care across services.

The role requires a current Social Work or related degree (or Certificate IV with relevant experience)

Qualifications

• Current bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention or Criminology with 2 years’ relevant experience in social services field.
• Certificate IV in a relevant Community Services field with at least 3 years of case management experience within Family Support, Child Protection, Youth Support, Housing or a related field and a commitment to complete a Diploma while working.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with clients through effective micro-counselling techniques and deliver unconditional positive regard.
• Deliver safety assessments and safety responses in cases of domestic and family violence, self-harm, mental health, and child abuse.
• Facilitate ATSICHS Narrative Assessment Tools to capture client voices and inform care planning.
• Deliver case managed services according to the program model of care with a manageable caseload.
