Job summary

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane is recruiting for a Family Wellbeing Services leader to coordinate a culturally safe family support system across multiple service providers. The role focuses on improving family capacity, safeguarding children's wellbeing, and delivering holistic care through comprehensive case management.

The position requires strong knowledge of child protection practice, staff mentorship, and collaboration with partner services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply child safety and social work frameworks of practice.
• Knowledge of relevant social care legislation (child protection, housing, etc.).
• Ability to guide staff on legislative requirements.
• Experience leading teams, forecasting priorities, and managing workflow.

Responsibilities

• Track intake waitlists and develop referral pathways across sectors.
• Support staff to improve engagement and achieve program targets.
• Ensure staff complete safety and assessment tools prior to and after home visits.
• Lead client empowerment interventions and document staff use of coaching tools.
• Coordinate with ATSICHS medical, dental and allied health services for case plans.
• Deliver and disseminate client feedback and wellbeing measures.
