Job summary

McArthur in Parramatta and surrounding areas is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker. You will provide person-centred in-home support, helping participants maintain independence and participate in their communities.

Essential qualifications include a Certificate III+ in Disability or related field and at least six months of hands-on experience. Training in mobility, personal care and community access is valued within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Six months of hands-on disability support experience.
• Experience in in-home support and community-based assistance.
• Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Current compliance checks and a reliable vehicle are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred daily living and personal care support.
• Assist participants to develop independence and life skills.
• Support community access, transport, and participation.
• Build trusting relationships with participants and families.
• Support individuals with complex physical and psychosocial needs.
• Promote dignity, choice and inclusion.
