Job summary

McArthur Community Care is seeking a reliable Disability Support Worker for Brisbane Northside. You will assist clients to achieve goals in their NDIS plans, focusing on independence, social connection, and community participation.

Qualifications

• Right to work in Australia.
• Relevant industry experience in disability support.
• Minimum qualification as listed (Cert III/IV or equivalent).
• Current WWCC and NDIS worker screening clearance.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Manual Handling and Medication administration certificates.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks including cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients in skill development: shopping, cooking, transport.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Encourage social and community participation.

Education

Certificate III in Individual Support

Disability Cert IV or equivalent

First Aid & CPR Certificates

Working with Children Card & NDIS Screening

Manual Handling Certificate

We are seeking Reliable, Enthusiastic, Motivated and Professional Disability Support Worker in the North Brisbane area.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important part in assisting people to achieve their goals as specified in their NDIS plan.

As a Disability Support Worker and respected ambassador of McArthur you will be required to assist people with:

• Household tasks - household cleaning and laundry
• Skill development - shopping, cooking, catching public transport
• Transport - transport to appointments and/or shopping
• Social & Community participation - engage in the community, meet people.

Applicants must have:

• Right to work in Australia
• Relevant Industry experience
• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Cert IV or equivalent
• Current Working with children blue card and NDIS workers screening check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Manual Handling Certificate and Medication Certificate

Training credentials in Complex Care, for example - Bowel Care, Peg Feeding, Dementia and Mental Health would be highly regarded.
